A Rat Race
Admitting fallacious definitions of success,
we're quite comfortably convinced.
ruthlessly omitting what speaks within,
we're all getting merrily minced.
Arduously calling it a craze,
of our own longing ,there's no trace.
Walking alone in crowded streets,
cheers to our barren busy life blinded by haze.
Pitying our precious passing days,
feeling lost in a muddled maze.
Oh human, in this grind,
where've we lost our grace?
Alas to our amaze,
captivated by a chronic chase.
run and run to catch the pace,
hey human, welcome to "The Rat Race".
