Rewind

Here’s to what makes us rewind,

ask your heart about the feeling it confines.

Emotions and intuition to whom we fall prey,

Why do we not speak what we want to say?

 

What do we do of the traces of our past,

ignore or accept what tears us apart.

Unwind and unfurl the miseries and pessimism,

How cruel could you be to shelter them in your heart?

 

Deal with it ‘coz in life it happens

Forget the mistakes but

Remember the lessons

 

Make a way for it and get your foot in the door

Your ailing heart and raging mind has a cure,
